Black Bread: heavy dark bread, baked till soft and full flavoured. Served with honey or clotted Bosk Cream

Bosk: similar to Earth Cattle (large, shaggy haired, long horned). Served in same way as Earth Beef

Blueberries: taken from Earth

Butter: Churned from the milk of the Bosk or the Verr

Celane Melon: Same as Earth Cantalope Melon

Cheese: Made from the milk of the Bosk, has a sharp taste and resists mould due to their hard rinds.

Kes: a shrub with salty, blue secondary roots that is the main ingredient in sullage

Kort: a Tahari rinded fruit, usually served sliced with melted cheese and nutmeg

Larma: a fruit similar to the Earth apple, sometimes sliced and fried, served with browned honey sauce. Be warned though that by offering a Larma (real or imaginary) it is thought that it is a silent plea for you to be raped.

Olives: mainly from the city of Tor (Torian Olives), but some Red Olives are found originating from Tyros

Ram-berries

Ram-berries: small, succulent purple berries

Redfruit: similar in taste and flesh to Earth apples

Rence: a water plant, the grain is eaten and the stems harvested, pressed into paper or woven into cloth. Grain may be boiled or ground and sweetened into a sweet paste and then fried into a type of pancake.

Sa-Tarna: grain, specifically wheat

Sa-Tassna: food in general (though meat is generally called this too)

Slave Porridge: (also known as bond-maid gruel) A cold, unsweetened mixture of water and Sa-Tarna, on which Slaves are fed.

Sorp: a shellfish similar to an oyster found in the Vosk River

Sugar: two varieties are used, red sugar and yellow sugar, Red sugar is derived from fruit and Yellow sugar from juices of crushed sugar-cane stalks

Sul: golden-brown, starchy, vine fruit. Main ingredient in Sullage.

Sul: a tuberous type of vegetable similar to the potato, served sliced and fried.

Sullage: a soup made mainly with suls, tur-pah, and kes (and anything else in the area)

Tabuk: Swift creatures like Earth Gazelles. Their sweet meat is usually served roasted.

Ta Grapes: fruit from the Isle of Cos similar to Earth grapes.

Tarsk: animal similar to Earth Pig, has a bristly mane running down spine to base of tail. Meat is usually roasted and stuffed with suls and peppers.

Tumits: a large carnivorous bird of the plains, hunted and eaten by nomads of Gor. Hunted with bolos the sport lies in that who will be the meal, the bird or You.

Tospit: a bitter, juicy citrus fruit, Similar in appearance to a Peach, often is dried and candied.

Tur-pah: an edible tree parasite with curly, red, oval leaves, grows on the tur tree; a main ingredient in sullage

Verr

Vulo

 

Verr: an animal similar to Earth goat. Meat can be eaten, its milk can be used for cheese or butter. If the meat is to be eaten the meat must be steamed in the ground and wrapped in leaves for a day, this stops it from being bitter and stringy.

Vulo: a wild, tawny colored bird similar to the Earth pigeon, used for meat and eggs.
